6 Dave Edmunds: Rocker who had a Christmas No.1 in 1970 with I Hear You Knocking.

7 Charlotte Church: Her break came aged 11 when she sang over the telephone on the Good Morning TV show and she rose to fame as a classical singer before later turning to pop.

8 Cerys Matthews: Lead singer with the rock band Catatonia, now a TV presenter and writer.

9 Aled Jones: Famous as a child star with his version of Walking In the Air from the hit film The Snowman. He has made almost 30 albums and is now also a broadcaster on television and radio.

10 Duffy: Real name Amie Ann Duffy, she reached No.1 with Mercy in 2008.
