IT has become one of the cornerstones of Glasgow's annual business awards - the Evening Times 'Glasgow's Favourite Business' title, chosen by you our readers.

This week we have been introducing you to this year's finalists - six outstanding businesses - which each in their own way reflect the city's thriving economy.

From the cultural institution that is the The King's Theatre to a one-woman business which sells quirky Scottish gifts to celebrities such as Emma Thompson ... from an internationally renowned marketing firm to a one-girl dog-walking enterprise.

The accolade, which is part of the Glasgow Business Awards, staged by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Bank of Scotland, has been won by many illustrious names in the past.

The city's new motto is 'People Make Glasgow', and - big or small - it is business people like our six finalists who help make Glasgow's reputation as a commerical leader what it is today.

So now is the time to make it your business to help choose Glasgow's favourite firm.
