However, it is outgrowing its premises and the need to move to a custom-built facility is paramount.

The Evening Times has championed the cause from day one and we are delighted today to highlight the latest part of our Brick by Brick campaign which aims to help make a new £15million facility in Bellahouston Park a reality.

Money has already poured in from public donations.

And today stars such as Scotland manager Gordon Strachan and comic Karen Dunbar will show their backing when they feature on new billboards erected around Glasgow.

Celebrity chef Nick Nairn has also given his backing to the appeal after a friend's child spent their last days in a hospice.

The new facility will ensure that the incredible support and services offered by the hospice will be immeasurably enhanced.

And staff will also be able to assist a wider age-range of patients than ever before.

The artist's impressions of the new hospice which are revealed today provide a hint of what a magnificent facility Glasgow will have upon its completion.
