GREAT to see a company like Watt Brothers planning to expand.

They are providing a great service to their customers and certainly know their business well.

When so many traditional stores are closing their doors and struggling to survive in this current climate, it is good to see that Watt Brothers is bucking the trend.

I know I feel a family business like that is worth supporting and it is important they have strong links in the community.

Good luck to them and their new ventures. I really hope they make a success of it.

IS there a reason so many street lights are left on during the day? We have to pay for this apparent waste through our Council Tax. This money could be used for services, such as fixing potholes, and not lining the pockets of Scottish Power.

MY heart goes out to the daughter of the man missing for seven years who spoke out in yesterday's Evening Times. I can't imagine what she must be going through.

I hope she is getting all the support she needs and musn't give up hope.

My thoughts are with her.

WHAT a touching story about the man reunited with a picture of his late father 40 years on.

Angela McManus's article on Stephen Barclay's dad William was truly something.

It is a wonderful thing for the family to have and to think that Stephen's dad was stopped on his way home from work when Alasdair Gray asked if he could stop for a moment to draw him.

I hope I am as lucky on my way home from work by a famous artist.

THANK goodness something is getting through to young people about the hazards of smoking. I gave up smoking after years of trying around 10 years ago and am pleased to say that I haven't gone back to it. I don' think I could afford it for a start.

At least now young people are listening to one another and hope it will help future generations to think twice before lighting up - it could save their lives.
