Regards council building to make way for student flats, more student flats.Wow we really are aiming high in Glasgow - not.

We need homes for people. The city centre is like a huge campus irritating. Students are temporary and add very little to city.

A correspondent recently commented on SNP supporters taking over George Square for demos and protests saying the square belongs to all citizens.

If the majority refuse to exercise their right to voice their opinion that is hardly the fault of SNP supporters.

Would the writer rather see the annual major disruptions to the city centre caused by sectarian marches which remain a blight on our society?

Homeless veteran sleeping in car - that is sad the man has to do this. He's probably too proud to ask a friend if they could put up a bed for him. If they were friends they wouldn't let him live the way he is, some people should be ashamed.

I hope politicians think about their hypocrisy the next time they attach poppies to their lapels. If we truly honoured those who have given their lives in conflict then veterans would never want for anything.

West end school row - the real culprits in this long drawn-out sorry mess, is Glasgow City Council.

My school days remind me of - you GCC go now to the Dunces-Corner, or a written report card saying "must try harder."

In there ungainly haste to merge these schools, they simply failed count the true, and actual numbers of pupils that would be accommodated in the "new-build" Hillhead Primary.

Please remember, that GCC's education services, would also require to provide their architect/designer with a written brief, to confirm their exact specification/instructions on pupil numbers, and accommodation that will be required.

Answers please, Mr Gordon Matheson.

When is this long-awaited Fastlink on the Squinty Bridge going to open. It is complete chaos on all junctions leading to the bridge and it is ridiculous that two lanes remain close.

Buses are forced into the lanes with all other traffic and it is making the queues worse.
