I SEE another famous, traditional Glasgow pub is up for sale.
Good luck to the owners of the Doublet as they put their city pub up for sale.
However, I can't help but feel a little sad that we will be losing another independent name.
Soon we will be even more overrun with chain after chain of coffee shops and bars. We are living in a world where individual businesses are being pushed out of the market.

HIGH speed rail must come to Glasgow - we're paying for it so why shouldn't we. If the Government are saying it'll create jobs and help the economy, then it stands to reason that to not have it here will be to our detriment.

ON bus companies pulling clown film advert - I don't see the issue with it. Children only find things scary if their parents let them. Are parents going to have a cry at everything they deem upsetting for their children? It shows no blood and it's a clown mask. Let's get rid of big mascots, seen plenty of kids cry at them too.

TOO scary for me, never mind children. Lots, and I mean lots, of sane rational adults are phobic about clowns. I'm not one of them, but I certainly don't like that picture.

REGARDS diners cancelling George Square bookings due to Orangefest, our forefathers fought for freedom of speech. So banning free speech is wrong in my book. I don't like sectarianism in any form, but we live in a free society. If you don't like it stay away. As for the business end many pubs will be full, cafes and restaurants will do a brisk trade. So good trade all round.

I WAS reading about Sir Tom Hunter giving a talk calling for schools to prepare kids for entrepreneurship.
I think it is great when someone in his position gives something back.
