HERE we go.

The folk who voted for all those other parties, splitting the vote, in protest of Labour's abysmal opposition record, have only themselves to blame, if life for the ordinary working class becomes very difficult to bear, through the Tories' cutbacks. As we all can now see, no sooner than the elections are over we have the MPs getting a rise and George Osborne announcing millions of pounds of cutbacks and selling off the post office.

He warns that this is only the tip of the iceberg, there's lots more to come, and no opposition party, can do a thing about it.

The heartless Tory bullies can barge on with their austerity for the poor and weak policies.

God help the jobless, the poor, the homeless, the sick and vulnerable because the Tories won't. The disenchanted folks, once diehard Labourites in Scotland and England who fell for changing their vote, did not realise the Tory puppet masters were pulling the strings all the way back in to the seats of power for another five years of robbing the poor to support the rich.

HAVING watched Canada v China in the opening match of the Women's World Cup in Canada I found this spectacle quite appalling.

When players were tackled they seemed to get up immediately, unlike the men's game where we are treated to a fantastic array of amateur dramatics as players roll around on the ground. When a decision goes against the players they fully respect it and the game goes on. There is no crowding of the referee with an accompanying barrage of verbal insults.

The ladies do indeed have a lot to learn from the men's game.

IN reply to D Foy's letter regarding the Orangefest, it is people like him who thinks that Freedom of Speech is ok under this banner.

The people of Glasgow should not be subjected to these types of marches and demonstrations, they should all be banned. Why was it only announced a week before meaning the public had no opportunity to voice their protests. 29,000 to date. Glasgow City Council needs explain.

COLIN Jackson's death is a sad loss and a terrible way to go. R.I.P.

I' m a Celtic fan but club allegiance is unimportant at times like this. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
