I READ with interest that Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. was presented with personalised money boxes for each of her step grandchildren by the Future Savers scheme which is run by Glasgow's credit unions. I like Wills, Kate and little George and Charlotte but as these children will never go without anything and will never have to save up for anything in their lives was there any point in giving them money boxes to save in.

I would like to know when my grandchildren can expect to receive their personalised money boxes from Glasgow's credit unions.

These types of gifts should be for children who are going to have save up for everything in their lives. I await the arrival of my grandchildren's free personalised money boxes.

THE fact that disabled people have been driven to mount a desperate protest in Westminster against the cuts surely says it all about the type of society we have become by allowing a Government to get away with their relentless drive against the most vulnerable citizens in our country.

A Government driven by an ideological hatred against the sick and the poor. Those who voted for this state of affairs should hang their heads in shame.

WATCHING the news about the amount of refugees trying to get into Britain. I noted the majority of these people were young and fit looking men, supposedly escaping from war torn countries. So I wonder what will be happening to all the women and children they left behind.

I also feel sorry for the truck drivers bringing supplies into our country they must feel intimidated by these men. The authorities must be made to do something about this as many Brits have lost pride in their country.

DOES Nicola Sturgeon really believe that we'll think she's tackling poverty by appointing a "poverty adviser."

Anyone in Scotland can tell her how to tackle this problem. Food, housing, jobs and healthcare. Not depleting the money coffers any further with unnecessary appointments.

Perhaps it is time her party put independence on the back burner and get on fulfilling their promises.

I only hope the new adviser is getting no more than the "living wage."
