Why all the fuss about the Greek debt. The UK has a debt level about four times higher than that. We are borrowing more money to pay the interest on money we have already borrowed from God knows who.

This is Wonga economics and does not make sense. I don't mind some cut backs but the government will have to make more strenuous efforts to collect the tax that should be paid, plus a 20% levy on all cash transferred out of this country.

Harriet Harman at the weekend stated that Labour would support the Tories Welfare Bill and the budget changes to tax credits. The Labour Party is truly dead and buried and has left the working class totally defenceless against a rampant Tory Government.

I'm all for cyclists sharing our roads and think it only right that we should be giving them adequate room.

However, I have to draw the line with cyclists who carry on conversations side by side while travelling through the city.

It meant that no one could get round them and it wasn't clear whether or not they were giving traffic their full concentration.

We all have to be responsible road users and that includes cyclists.

Great to see another city hotel opening. I guess there must be the demand there. With all the acts who are lined up for the Hydro I am not surprised that the hotel trade is booming. It is good to see Glasgow building on successes of last year when the city was full of visitors coming to the Commonwealth Games.

It has been a long time coming, but I have to applaud the fact that something will be done with the former John Brown's shipyard in Clydebank.

The idea of hundreds of houses, a hotel and a new boulevard walkway would be a fantastic boost for the area.

To think that the was the birthplace of some of the world's greatest ships including the QE2, the Queen Mary and HMS Hood, has been derelict for more than a decade. I am delighted that the site will be given a new lease of life.
