Maybe we can bring the area of Sauchiehall Street to life after all and put this ridiculous Buchanan Galleries upgrade to rest for good. The whole plan was such a waste of money and totally unnecessary from the start.

Where did all this plan originate? Council money should never have been planned for this project but used in upgrading Sauchiehall Street and surrounding area.

Apart from removing the steps, another cinema venue at such proximity to the existing one and more than enough restaurants in the city already, who thought up this hair-brained scheme?

The people of Glasgow like the Buchanan Galleries as it is. Let's just concentrate on occupying the vacant premises we have.

REGARDING taskforce to blitz back courts, Govanhill residents have a right to live in a safe clean environment.

No longer will we endure the filthy, crime ridden ghetto like conditions that surround us. Since our protest demonstration in March 2015, our campaign has continued to call on the First Minister for Scotland to intervene on our behalf with Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland to provide us with the same safe clean living conditions to be found elsewhere in Glasgow and Scotland.

Well done Paisley planners for allowing vehicles back along the High Street at night.

While it not benefit retailers given it is after 6.30pm to 6.30am, I can imagine the whole area will feel the benefit of a possible economic boost.

It will make it easer for drivers to make their way round easier and certainly make life a bit easier for taxi drivers.

I remember when vehicles were allowed on the High Street day and night. I don't think it's any coincidence that the town was bustling with shoppers and there was a huge choice of stores.

It was the Saturday destination of choice, but with Braehead on its doorstep it has to think of ways to at least try to compete.

Seems to be more and more stories these days about rowdy behaviour on flights. So much for the glamour of flying. I think those days are long gone.

What is wrong with people that they can't simply enjoy getting on a flight for their holidays and letting everyone enjoy themselves.
