Good luck to Tommy Ramsey who is standing as an independent candidate in the Calton ward.

I am of the view that independent candidates would offer a great beneficial impact at Glasgow City Council and free us from the party political driven agenda and allow councillors to stand up for their residents' best interests.

The Barrowland Park has made a great difference to the appearance of the place and to move it would only be driven by financial gain but this gain is never felt by the local residents.

All too often the local residents whose interests councillors are intended to represent are forgotten and until this happens we will be stuck with politically driven individuals who choose to never provide straight answers.

On you go, Tommy.

The NHS in Scotland is in meltdown and no one seems to care. As long as there is a shiny new big hospital to look at, who cares what goes on inside, eh?

I am due an appointment next spring at one of the departments and already it has been cancelled and rescheduled.

I don't blame the staff but in my opinion there is a big problem.

I'd like to send Mr McLaren, the diabetic patient whose appointments at the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital have been repeatedly cancelled, my best wishes and hope is treatment is successful.

When was the last time you saw a street sweeper in your street?

When was the last time the council sprayed the chewing gum off the pavements in all the streets in Glasgow?

Why are weeds growing out of pavements? Can Glasgow City Council not implement a simple maintenance regime to tackle these simple solvable environmental problems?

Maybe, the leader of the council should look at giving this to one of the arm's-length organisations to reduce the cost on the council's budget and make these services run better and more efficiently.
