ALEX Salmond is quite right to suggest the Houses of Parliament becomes a museum, and a new custom built place is developed for Government.

This antiquated building with its equally antiquated performances and 'traditions' only gives MP's old-fashioned ideas. The governing body should be reaching ahead, using the accepted methods of the 21st Century with the full inclusion of the people who voted for them. Instead, there aren't enough seats for elected members, office space is shared on a 'hot-bed' basis and every move is ruled by ancient traditions.

Move the parliament away from London, which will ease the housing problems, and the whole impression that Britain revolves around London based taxpayers officers.

Spend the £6 billion on helping our own families, our own starving children, and our own young people who view their adult life with dread because there are no jobs, no homes and soon very little financial help.

COMMONWEALTH Legacy, what legacy? It has left Dalmarnock, a once vibrant community, a ghost town. No shopping, no amenities - nothing.

As for the Athletes Village it looks like a housing scheme sitting there all on it's own and not part of Dalmarnock.

WAS it just me or was anyone else who attended the Tom Jones concert in Falkirk Stadium disappointed.

The show started at 6.30pm. However, Tom Jones did not make his appearance until almost 9.30pm. A it was a chilly night, several people left the show early. I personally felt it was a bit of a let down.

Credit to Tom however, he was in good voice but was also in short supply.

ON the subject of introduction of food waste bins throughout Glasgow, our sly urban foxes have learned how to knock over the small roadside garden bins dragging the contents out.

I'm hoping Glasgow City Council will provide an animal-proof bin.

WHY should the tax payer be expected to pick up the cost because slum landlords didn't do it. Let's hope they get as little as possible for the properties definitely NOT making any kind of profit whatsoever.

WHAT a lovely story on young Zoe Hay going to school.

I supposed it's something that many parents take fore granted.

For this family it must have been an even more special day and I wish them well for for the future.
