First Glasgow do not care about the needs of the community, its all about making money. Multiple fare increases and huge reductions in vital bus services have been the norm with this company.

Independent surveys by VOSPA show that First Glasgow offer deplorable services on some routes, the Robroyston routes get a particular mention as being unacceptable, but the Traffic Commissioner somehow appears powerless to enforce any form of sanction.

When complaining to First Glasgow about the poor service of the 19a (formerly 11) the answer is that there is provision of alternative routes in the 19 and 57(a).

The nearest bus stops on those routes to the Robroyston Road between Sheila Street and Quarrywood Road being around mile away. Having a mobility problem that prevents walking that kind of distance means nothing to First. As far as they are concerned they ARE providing "local access". At least, that is when the bus actually turns up.

Perhaps if, in the first place, they had run services compatible with actual demand, they wouldn't be in the mess they are now. What is the point of running a service every 10 minutes when the demand indicates only every 15 minutes is required? Why run the same frequency during the working day as at peak times? Common sense dictates that demand is heavier at peak times. Appallingly bad management is the problem here.

Keith Gilmour has got it upside down, Evening Times Tuesday. The people are fleeing from the rebels not the Assad regime.

The Syrian people were not fleeing in their thousands when Assad was in control, but only when the British backed rebels started attacking the Assad Government.

Uk and US interference in Iraq, Afghanistan Libya and Syria has made things worse for the people of these countries.

Unless someone wants to tell me that the people in these countries are better off as a result of our involvement.

The UK and US caused the refugee crisis, we have a clear responsibility to help.

Although I don't see the Americans helping.
