THE story about the `back to front` bus shelters, we have had these shelters in our area for a couple of years now. They are quite awkward, twisting your head round to see if your bus is coming.

Friends and neighbours passing on the other side of the road and giving you a quick `Hi`, are long gone before you can stand up and turn around to acknowledge them.

As they say, we are never happy.

AS I live in the Ballieston area I know the area of Broomhouse.

This area has doubled or trebled over the last year and building work is still going on.

Regarding buses withdrawn, the community should talk to the developer to help with buses. These developers are building about 1500 houses and almost all school kids will be from this new development.

This area has seen a lot of council money spent in the area.

If the council could get better funding from Scottish Government we could all be better off as I know there is going to be a lot of work and changes in Ballieston by big developers. This community will be looking for money, so let's hope we get our share of the council budget.

I AM pleased to see Frank McAveety in the driving seat of what was becoming a runaway train.

Maybe the damage done to social work and services will get proper attention as it was savagely slashed by our last leader hurting the most vulnerable in our city.

Good wishes Frank.

SO, now we learn thanks to the press, that some MPs are having their outstanding expense bills "written Off" (just like their Council Tax bills) all, of course, at the taxpayers expense.

Politics definitely beats any other job today: Don't have to pay your Council tax, unlimited expenses, jobs for the family, guaranteed employment for five years, golden handshakes, attractive severance pay and pensions to die for.

Come on Nicola Sturgeon, get a grip on this scandal. Put an immediate stop to these underhand practices, make an example of these people and sack them.
