GLASGOW City Chambers had displayed a banner with the message “refugees are welcome”.

Good for them. I wonder how many Syrian families the City Chambers can accommodate.

Will the councillors be accepting a cut to their allowances to pay for their upkeep, their health needs and their schools?

TYPICAL ScotRail offering no real response or acknowledgement of the issue highlighted in that photo or via customer complaints, instead they spin out some PR robotic response.

Not everyone wants or needs to buy a season ticket you know. I used to commute via ScotRail for many years and I now walk to work (thankfully) without the added stress of their sheer incompetence. Its disheartening to see the same ticketing queues that I experienced many years ago are still there in 2015.

ALL the Labour politicians bemoaning the election of Jeremy Corbyn as party leader seem to forget they have lost two elections in a row. It seems to me they are the people who are unelectable, as for the Scottish Labour Party they couldn't beat a carpet, they do not have one real socialist in their ranks. So Ms Dugdale let us hear your socialist manifesto.

TO the road bosses who have dug up Govan for Fastlink, I would like to invite them down to the area for a drive through.

How many traffic lights are we going to have now between the Squinty Bridge and the new hospital - too many is the answer.

You can hardly travel 200 metres without another set of traffic lights.

The area may be changing and some things will make a difference for the better, but this Fastlink move is not.
