I SEE that some of the "good folk" of Govan - most of whom were against paying for parking - are very quick to cash-in at the first opportunity. Why is it acceptable to pay £2,500 per year to an individual capitalist and not £50 to your own elected council? Motorists don't complain about the millions that oil companies; insurance companies; manufacturers and others make but moan about £50. When road users start paying to use and park in roads they will have a case, but I do not see why I, who does not have a vehicle, should pay for them that do.

It’s a sad day when other people take advantage of another person’s unfortunate situation and try to charge them money for it.

Happens all over the country. Perhaps if the health board had people at the helm who were intelligent enough, they would have provided enough spaces.

I WATCHED Prime Minister's Question Time on Wednesday and I was disgusted by David Cameron.

When the leader of the SNP in Westminster, Angus Robertson, asked his questions David Cameron did not even look at him in fact he turned his back on him.

This shows David Cameron's upbringing the ignorant, arrogant attitude of this Tory government.

I do not know if anybody else noticed, it's time we were rid of these people.

SO Jeremy Corbyn is castigated for not singing the national anthem. Why should anyone be forced to sing something they don't believe in, even if they are a national figure? He turned up and paid his respects, what more do they want. This is 2015, we don't have to bend the knee anymore.

IT seems that First Bus, with their axing of non-profitable routes and altered timetables, are not showing any consideration to the people who live and work in Glasgow and are only interested in one thing and that is how much profit they can make.

I think it's high time Mr McAveety and the other Glasgow councillors showed their mettle and started sticking up for the people who elected them before next years election rolls round and their cushy jobs are put up for tender.
