AS a resident and motorist in the area of the Squinty Bridge I just can't believe this latest advice about buses not using the dedicated Fastlink lane, which was specially built for them, as it is slower.

How much did we spent on all the changes and traffic lights for this new road layout? Well it certainly wasn't worth it. At peak times it is already bad enough with cars and taxis all sandwiched together in packed lanes, now the buses want to come into our lanes as well.

I think the thing should be abandoned and all traffic should be able to use all the lanes. Surely that would help to alleviate pressure on the Squnity Bridge particularly when we have to contend with all the Hydro traffic as well.

I REGULARLY walk my dogs at Queen’s Park and very much enjoy seeing the ducks.

I also take my grandchildren to the pond and they love throwing bread to the ducks.

So I was quite upset to read that the ducks could be affected by the drop in water levels at the pond.

The council’s drainage work appears to have stopped the water which flowed into the pond, leaving parts of it high and dry.

It’s a real worry that the ducks will now find a new home.

Queen’s Park will be the poorer without the ducks, so I’m hoping for a deluge of rain to top up the pond.

SORRY to the East End bus depot close, Friday's Evening Times. I know First Glasgow are saying that the jobs can be transferred over to the South Side new depot.

However, it is not as simple as that when you have a workforce in a particular area there is a huge benefit for the community. Whether it be people spending money in local shops in the lunch hour or after hours, it all help to keep communities together.

Although jobs are not going, the closure will still have an impact on the East End.

I THINK it is a bit unfair that Michelle Mone is getting so much criticism for being a "lady." Why do people who try to do well for themselves always end up being targeted - maybe some people are just jealous.
