A BIG thank you to the two runners from Stranraer who paced me round the 10k race on Sunday.

Your support made it easier to complete my run.

Hope you had a safe run, by car, home.

HOW can the SNP government moan about people suffering, foodbanks, lack of social housing, closing libraries, shutting down pensioners clubs, child poverty, when they are sitting on a £350 MILLION underspend in our budget.

What are they saving for - a rainy day. Well its raining buckets for the under privileged in Scotland right now. Or are they saving up to finance another referendum? This money is does not belong to the SNP it belongs to all of us in Scotland and should be spent to benefit all of us in Scotland. Rosemary Keery, Glasgow, via email

REGARDS bus services changes at Sighthill, First are up to here is what they have done elsewhere - low useage, withdraw service then due to the outcry, SPT step in, pay them to go into affected area, service restored. They have done it in Kelvindale and Mosspark, but lost out to another operator in Mosspark. First have been doing this for years.

If I was in charge of a bus company I would probably do it myself, buses do not run on fresh air, but why remove a service and leave a community with nothing?

Instead, the routes with multiple vehicles running empty on high frequency routes would not miss a bus being taken out to serve the likes of Sighthill.

On the plan to scrap new park rules, at Kelvingrove kids have one small section which is usually fenced off to play in, the dogs get the run of the rest of park leaving their mess everywhere. The worst offenders are dog walkers who do it as a job , I've seen as many as ten dogs with one walker, so we have healthy dogs but unfit children who can't run free because of the mess.

ON the pond drainage issue, the head of parks has said that they have turned the water supply OFF. So this is their fault and another example of their neglect of this park and we don't want the monitoring excuse we want the tap turned on again. Equally they say that wildlife is not affected which is nonsense but also suggests that they are happy that this pond now becomes a waste pit. SHAMEFUL
