YOU would think that SNP Councillor Susan Aitken would have more demanding issues to deal with other than outline proposals for radical changes at George Square. Look around you councillor, and same applies to Labour administration, should your party win in 2017 elections I sincerely hope the first item on the agenda IS NOT about spending more money we haven't got on (yet again) revamping George Square.

While SNP are planning to move some events away from our Square, should they be elected, they should also bear in mind this great area is a civic square for everyone to enjoy and not completely taken over by their supporters and speakers at some of the many political demonstrations they have held there since the referendum, which may I remind them, they didn't win.

THE SNP Councillor Susan Aitken has made suggestions regarding her vision of George Square in the future. Let me remind her that George Square belongs to the people of Glasgow, not to any political party sitting in charge in the City Chambers, who wishes to organise events pertaining to their wishes. Before any changes are made with reference to our George Square, I would suggest that we, the people of Glasgow are given our say, in any modifications, events, and alterations that take place, and that they are done so with only our approval.

THE Tory Government in the eighties decimated the mining and steel industries and yet another Tory Government presides over the final fatal blows to manufacturing industry. Forget the pathetic hand wringing in Westminster, they simply don't care less. The Scottish Government should nationalise these plants and stand up for Scottish workers.

YET again applied for tickets for Christmas lights switch on,again commiserations but sorry, for the fifth year in a row. Certainly don't expect to get them every year, but the odd time would be nice, they say it's a ballot/just your luck or whatever, so why is always the same people who get them? I know people who have got them for last three years.

Sorry about the sour grapes, but so frustrating.
