IF hospitals are struggling to cope with bed blocking, why did NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde transfer all older people’s rehabilitation services, a total of 56 beds, from Drumchapel Hospital to Gartnavel Hospital this month.

Had the wards at Drumchapel not been closed, there would have been no need for Gartnavel, which must under capacity, to recruit them.

The space could have been used to help the other hospitals who are struggling to cope.

REGARDING the firms who have been named and shamed for not paying the minimum wage.

Businesses never were interested in rewarding their employees properly by paying them a decent wage - they would much rather line the pockets of senior exec’s and shareholders.

Until there is a sea-change in that type of attitude, we’ll continue to witness mass exploitation of workforces up and down the country.

PERHAPS if signing up for internet services at home was not so expensive then more people could afford it.

It’s not simply that a lot of people don’t know how to access internet facilities it has a lot to do with the extortionate prices being charged and this antiquated system of still requiring a landline in the home.

This alone can be almost £20.00 per month then internet provider charges on top.

If there is another simpler way out there could someone please share what they know?

I THINK it is a disgrace that these protesters were outside the Queen Elizabeth hospital when people were visiting their loved ones in hospital (Evening Times, Saturday).

I think John Beattie, as reported in your paper having worked for the NHS for 10years, who started an online petition, should know this would be upsetting for patients and visitors.

By all means protest, but not outside the hospital.

I don't see how anyone could get so upset because of a name. We should be proud to have this new hospital serving Glasgow.

WHERE is the city's open Wifi network that (former council leader) Gordon Matheson said we would have by the end of 2015 for people to be able to access the internet in their homes?

OK, the libraries do a good job but they are not open 24-7.
