I WAS absolutely disgusted to read the story about vandals who have smeared excrement over council vans (Evening Times, November 10).

I don’t get shocked by much these days but the revolting depths these people stooped to really did turn my stomach.

This is something no one should have to face while trying to carry out their duties.

The Community Safety Glasgow officers primarily work to make sure our parks and public spaces are safe and tidy. This should be celebrated.

I would like to see the culprits caught and made to spend a day picking up dog dirt in parks in the city as recompense for the vandalism.

GLASGOW housebuilders' flats are built like little doll houses hardly any room yet they intend to build another block much higher with more dolly type accommodation for students and the price they ask is ridiculous.

How about building proper sized accommodation for the social needs as there is many young people still living with their parents who are in desperate need of social accommodation there is too many students accommodation being built.

NEVER in my 75 years have I ever seen such a mess. Our new hospital was running "in a fashion" while the old dependable hospitals,Western,Victoria were being shut.

They may have been old but did a great job, far superior to the new hospital. Staff morale is low and people are at risk. Police Scotland has gone the same way.

One man Stephen House building his own little empire. He is leaving with a pay off and a pension. SNP should listen to Graeme Pearson who knows about the job from experience.

I AGREE with the woman writing in about the small stamp she paid. My wife had the same problem. She worked for 47 years and was paid the magnificent sum of 47p. Every time she phoned up she was palmed off with a load of gobbledegook from different people and she was told she hadn't put enough in the coffers.

She had to wait till I turned 65. My wife was never told that it would affect her pension. Somebody on the phone told her that "their mother knew so why didn't she" she even wrote to the PM and he passed her back to the pensions department.

People who didn't work got their pension when they turned 60.
