IT irritates me every time Willie Rennie, Ruth Davidson or Kezia Dugdale have a go at the Scottish Government on the problems being experienced by Police Scotland following the rationalisation of services in 2013. Dugdale’s party were in Government during a period when lending soared uncontrollably causing the financial crisis of 2009.

Davidson and Rennie’s parties gave us the austerity programme which influenced the Scottish Government funding detrimentally following that. The SNP clearly had to make cuts in order to live within budget. Rationalisation of the Scottish forces was a way to achieve this. Maybe they should have chosen to close some hospitals instead. As Labour were planning before the SNP came to power in 2007. Fortunately Sturgeon put a halt to that.

THE disclosure of the FAT CATS salaries and benefits is shocking when they are telling us we have to tighten our belts and bear with the austerity programme for years to come. We have no hope of making them change they have never had it so good. They make their own rules as they go along all for their own benefit the Civil Servants, politicians, charities bosses, big business, bankers, police chiefs , corporate tax dodgers, slum landlords etc. etc all robbing the poor to line their own pockets. Time for change. We are the only ones who can do that. and the sooner the better..a long time ago France did it why can’t we?

I HAVEN'T seen many road sweepers on the streets this autumn, localised flooding will surely happen. The reason for this shortage of council workers, is the men are simply not being replaced and the exciting workers are at breaking point leading to long term sick due to stress. So if your street floods don't blame the person who's sent after the fact, blame your councillor who is aware of the problem.

REGARDS next stage approval for M8 garden, its a waste of money. Invest and maintain the parks we have ,people would be more happy with that. This park would be for the people in that area as there would be no parking or pay for parking at city centre prices.

Is this really necessary? How about spending what money is available for this on upgrading parts of the City which are completely overlooked in terms of repairs and maintenance.
