WELL done to Chris Walls for winning a bit of cash on Deal or No Deal.

With all the doom and gloom and sad tales around, it is good to read about someone doing well and having a bit of luck for a change.

All the best to him. I hope he enjoys spending his winnings.

IN response to the mum and two young children to be deported after dawn raid in Glasgow, there is no doubt we need strict controls of our borders but it is a hard heart that would not be affected by this.Did they really need so many officers? Did they really need to do this detested pre dawn raid? Did they need to handcuff this lady?

I’m satisfied that all due processes have been carried out but at the same time I can’t help thinking a wee bit more humane treatment might have been in order.

WITH the latest tickets fiasco concerning a big name artist, you would think someone would come up with a better way of handling ticket sales.

Prince’s ticket launch did not go to plan on Friday online. I for one am fed up having to scramble online at set times to try and get in a cyber ticket queue only for the sites to crash time and time again.

And the best thing is these gigs are probably a year away. You’d be better waiting for Prince’s DVD to come out and see him then.

REGARDS next stage approval for M8 garden, is this really necessary? How about spending what money is available for this on upgrading parts of the City which are completely overlooked in terms of repairs and maintenance.

IT is very concerning about the number of Scots jobs at risk following the announcement that the tax offices are to close over the coming years.

While I realise they are opening a new hub in the west, it does not make it any easier for communities affected by this move.

When a large business pulls out, it impacts on small firms, schools, facilities and community centres.

If people are not living and earning in communities, these areas will eventually fall apart.

We have to stop this rot. I hope the politicians on all sides will be looking at what can be done and take action.
