I AM currently in the above new hospital and have been compelled to write in total support for all the staff in ward 8D. No matter what capacity their job description, I have received the utmost care and respect from each member of staff.

Nothing is too much for them. After all the recent criticism these dedicated staff have had, it makes me so angry.

Yes there have been teething problems. What business doesn't have, but this hospital and staff deserve our support and I for one am proud to give. Support NHS Scotland and the Queen Elizabeth hospital.

CONGRATULATIONS to Aberdeen. I see they have been given funds from the City Deal scheme.

Glasgow is already a recipient, but it was a long time coming. While I would like to wish them well, I can't help but feel that given their oil links they have had it pretty good for a long time.

The oil money certainly kept them going for many years.

Perhaps another city might have been more in need than Aberdeen.

WITH all the bad press lately regarding rubbish/litter, I want to thank the two men from Glasgow cleansing department who did the bulk uplift in Dennistoun on Wednesday. At our tenement alone it was a mountain and they did a great job. Thank you so much.

I HAVE nothing against South Korea but why are they building four tankers for the Royal Navy? In society if it is to be fair and just, should a government not put the lives of human beings before money? Tories just don't get it - mind you New Labour bought into the uncaring Capitalist mindset.

WITH the latest announcement that Texas Instruments are shedding jobs in Scotland along with those lost in the oil industry in the North East, the textile industry in the Borders and the steel jobs in Motherwell and Cambuslang when are we expecting to see the new jobs promised by Nicola Sturgeon in her speech with regards to Faslane workers. In her speech she claimed that if Trident is not replaced any personnel who lost their jobs in Faslane would be found new jobs.

If we are to believe this, why do we have to wait. Where are these new jobs coming from, and why can they not be produced now to help all those who have lost their jobs already? All parties need to stop worrying about Indyref 2 and start doing what they were elected to the Scottish Government for and start running Scotland on a day to day basis.
