I WAS disgusted to read about the vandalism of the wonderful ‘Betty Brown’s Eyes’ mural in Garnethill.

Perhaps those who did this did not know the about the local legend, Mrs Brown, and all that she did for the community of Garnethill?

Even so, to completely deface such a striking work of art is utterly mindless.

I hope those responsible are caught and made to clean up the unsightly graffiti across the city.

THE sheer scum that did this must be caught as soon as possible and thrown in jail for a very very long time. We don't want these scum to roam our streets, they have no place at all.

SOME people have no respect. They don't think about the consequences of their actions because they know there will be none for them.

HIGH praise to the Glasgow Ski Club youngsters who overcame the trauma of stolen clothing and equipment in Italy in the English Alpine Championships to go on and win the championship's club award. We should show these kids we're proud of them. They're a credit to Glasgow.

After reading Humza Yousaf's exclusive in the Evening Times, I cannot believe the arrogance of the SNP who continue to dictate on behalf of the majority of the Scottish people, The language and brain washing the SNP used before the Scottish Referendum still continues.

I do not think the majority of people agree to Turkey joining the EU in October 2016, we certainly will not be safer.

We have NATO, we do not need to be in EU to be safe.

The EU will collapse when we hopefully vote to get out, they won't have our 55 million a day to keep them on the biggest gravy train of them all.

We will not be in an isolated state as Humza states in your paper, I would suggest this is scaremongering at its best.

MY thoughts are with Pauline Cafferkey and her family following the news that she has been taken back to London.

She gave up her time to help others in Africa and get them through a terrible time in the their lives.

Pauline seems to have been on a long journey on her road to recovery. I hope she knows she has a lot of support and people here are sending her their best wishes.
