WHEN is the government going to clamp down on reckless cyclists, usually adults, and stop them from cycling on the pavement?

There are dozens if not hundreds of accidents caused by these inconsiderate idiots every year all over the UK and there’s not a thing that their victims can do about it.

Most of these avoidable incidents usually end with the criminal cycling or running away to avoid identification.

It’s about time cyclists were held to account for their actions and convicted for hitting a pedestrian on the pavement while riding their cycles.

Introducing a form of insurance and road tax would help prevent so many of these incidents and the insurance would pay for damage to the bicycle and compensation for injuries sustained by their victims.

I WAS disgusted by David Cameron’s comments at Prime Minister's Questions.

His comments about Jeremy Corbyn’s attire showed what a clown he is.

I can say this, if I had made such comments about someone in that manner my mother would have slapped me about the head and taken round to immediately apologise.

Another thing was the reaction of the Tory MPs behind him, well they showed their good side.

Cameron brought the office of prime minister into disrepute.

I HAVE read several letters and many posts on Facebook on the subject of the EU referendum.

If in the supposition that anything can happen, we have England vote to leave, by a few thousand votes, and Wales votes to leave by a few hundred votes, then Northern Ireland votes to remain by several hundred votes and Scotland votes to remain by several thousand votes.

We can have the scenario of England being kept in the EU against its wishes by Scottish votes. Northern Ireland’s votes renders Wales kept in also against its wishes.

Would we have the English press mounting a campaign for England to leave the United Kingdom, after all it was unified with Scotland by a Scottish king.

A LARGE bookmaker has announced that its 9,300 Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs) achieved a gross win of £949 per week. This profit often comes directly from problem gamblers.

There is surely no need in society for machines which allow gamblers to bet up to £100 every 20 seconds on electronic games.

With FOBTs, bookmakers are simply profiteering off the back of addiction.

The Scottish Government should consider setting an example to the rest of the UK by banning these machines.
