THE story on Sarah May Philo getting mugged for £35 and a curry (Evening Times March 10) generated much response online.

I HOPE the lady recovers from this ordeal and the police get the moron in front of the High Court.

About the street lighting, I noticed last night that a very large number of street lights the length of Garscube Rd and Maryhill Rd were not lit leaving some areas really dark.

It looks like deliberate council policy.

I HOPE she recovers quickly from this awful ordeal.

I must draw attention to the second part of this article in regards to poor street lighting.

I live in the Gorbals and have raised faulty street lights in my area on many occasions using the council's fault reporting website and mobile app and nothing ever gets repaired.

Each time I raised street lighting fault I always mention that some areas are very dark and unsafe yet nothing gets repaired.

I always have to email or phone the lighting department directly and cause a fuss before anything gets repaired and each time it feels like they are doing me a huge favour!

It is a must that this despicable man is caught as soon as possible before he does it again to someone else.

He is a sure moron and we don't want him roaming our streets to do it again.

If you know who he is do phone the police so they can throw him in jail for a very very long time.

THE story on proposed tolls for the Clyde tunnel (March 10) prompted a fierce backlash online.

Introduce a toll and watch all hell break loose.

I wonder what deranged idiot sits at their desk coming up with stupid ideas like this!

Probably a overpaid idiot who does not use the tunnel to get to work, go home or commute to other destinations.

Oh and lets charge the visitors coming to the hospital, £1 to go through, pay to park, £1 to come back!

IN addition, given that the new Glasgow south hospital is just the other side of the tunnel will ambulances have to pay the charge?

Will workers in the hospital have to pay to get to work and home?

Watch the traffic on Govan Road increase dramatically, what an idiotic idea.

MOTORISTS already pay a myriad of taxes to pay for roads.

Charge cyclists and those who use them without paying any tax if you must.

This crackpot idea from the Greens has been very poorly thought out. Imposing charges would force more people to use the M8, the expressway or Erskine bridge, causing huge queues, frustration, pollution and losing millions in lost time.

Did they not see what happened when the forth road bridge closed ?

The mentalists who dreamed up this proposal should be chased.

ANOTHER stupid idea from the Green Party.

They want to have tolls to pay for roads, pavements and cycle lanes.

So what are we paying our council tax for?

The best way for Glasgow to save money is to dump 3/4 of the councillors who contribute nothing but hot air to the city and increase global warming!

Just as well the Greens will never run the city.
