I WOULD be interested to know if any readers have any thoughts or information on the following:

Nicola Sturgeon states that the forthcoming EU Referendum should be split between the four nations England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and that no home nation should be taken out of the EU against its wishes.

What a load of dribble when you consider that the vote to enter was a single UK vote.

She continues to repeat that the people of Scotland wish to remain in the EU. How on earth can she know this?

She adds insult to injury by saying that if there is a yes vote to leave the EU ,then this would trigger another Independence referendum.

I thought the SNP are on record as stating that any further Independence referendum in the future would be decided by the people of Scotland?

How would the SNP be able to establish this? Would they run a referendum to see if the people of Scotland were interested?

Let’s consider that if Nicola Sturgeon got her wish for the EU Referendum vote to be counted as the SNP would wish - ie by each home nation - and her fear that the other home nations might drag Scotland out of the EU against their will. What would the SNP do under this format if indeed Scotland voted to leave the EU and the other home nations voted to stay in?

WHAT with the city’s diesel pollution reaching illegal levels, isn’t it something of a missed opportunity that the Uber taxis are not compelled to be electric?

Or that taxis at ranks cut their idling to a minimum, particularly at railway stations?

Or that commercial diesel vehicles be obliged to use the Add Blu additive, which buses already use?

WITH reference to the council cuts, (Evening Times, March 11) so job losses are going to mean cut backs in maintenance and cleaning up around Glasgow.

As the city is already a neglected mess in many parts it looks like the quality of life and the environment are about to go down the plug hole, especially in working class areas.

Well done again, Labour trying to shift the blame to Holyrood is not going to wash with voters who have your cards marked.

FRANKLY I am not surprised.

East Ayrshire used their reserves. What did we do? CUT.

Especially as I wrote to two of GCC top managers last year.

I gave them a simple money raising scheme and heard nothing back.
