I REALLY feel for the people who are being let down by the closure of Greater Maryhill Foodbank.

Whatever has been happening behind the scenes, we have to remember the people that this foodbank was supporting and who now will be wondering which way to turn for help.

I hope something else is set up in its place soon so that people who might go hungry will again be guaranteed of a good feed.

GREATER Maryhill Foodbank has hardly been out of the news for a minute with all the goings-on about funding.

I have donated to this and other foodbanks and it makes me sick to think that my money might not be going to the people who need it.

There needs to be better regulation of foodbanks and other charities or otherwise people can just pray on the good nature of others.

I note the council has launched a large scale recycling campaign for city of Glasgow to increase the recycling rate.

However, did they miss out that citizens already have four bins to use, not to mention the new food waste bin storage is far too small - more useful to store a bag of apples or bananas.

It is beyond belief how another bin will be of benefit when there is no education program to teach people to recycle.

I defy any parent to say that they haven't had some sort of "close shave " when their children were wee.

Toddlers are curious and have no sense of fear.

Instead of pointing the finger, we should all be thanking our lucky stars we're not in the same position.

There, but for the grace of God, go I.

A common sense care and values led approach. Who knew locking up our most vulnerable damaged children isn't the only way to care and support them to make safer choices and decisions that lead to better lives?

Lots of people.
