I am very concerned to hear that a vital community group could be forced to close after being told to leave their hub.
The Garthamlock Community Group is the latest facing the threat.....to make way for a housing development.
Do the people who want the land and the ones who want to sell it actually understand what happens at the community shop?
How important it is to the local community?
Because I am sure if there were no volunteers helping to keep teenagers off the street, and they were instead out drinking, the housing developers would have a problem on their hands.
Not to mention the impact on local policing and wider implications for the teenagers.
It is time someone realised the importance and helped and supported the people of the group to keep up the good work instead of obstructing them.

Power station closure
The closure of Longannet power station is a crime against the Scottish economy.
Longannet generated 2.4 gigawatts of base load electricity in all seasons and all weathers.
No number of wind turbines, generating electricity only when the wind blows, will be enough to replace that.
In years to come, we will suffer brown-outs and black-outs, because of this decision and the Climate Change Act, which led to it.

Join in the fun
In response to A.Martin’s comments (Evening Times March 24) – you will not experience fear or intimidation at a St. Patricks Day celebration, only joy and laughter.
Regarding sectarianism, in all my years I’ve not come across any sectarianism, be it through song or acts of terror at any of these events.
Come and join us at one.

Put off voting
After watching such a useless leadership debate, including over shouting, I have been put off voting after doing so for the last 46 years.
If this is the best Scotland have for leadership we are doomed.
