AFTER three years of serious social problems in the Bellahouston area caused by a pop festival weekend Glasgow City Council say yet another one will be staged this year with no consultation or thought for local people.

How arrogant can a council get? Do they never learn?

Perhaps May’s elections will help rid us once and for all of these overbearing buffoons.

IN its hey day, Springburn Park had a winter palace, a cricket pitch and pavilion, a bandstand, putting green and a boating pond.

Sadly, all these amenities have disappeared.

The final nail in the coffin was the announcement that there would no longer be a full time gardening team in the park and they were withdrawn.

Older environmentalists and conservationists would turn in their graves at this development.

So much for our ‘dear green place.’

Why is this allowed to happen?

IN relation to the story about the man's flat getting burgled (April 4), people should be able to leave anything they want in their flat without fear of it being ransacked.

If there was complete transparency from the very beginning and honesty about the problems in Govanhill instead of this continual cover up then maybe he would never have purchased the flat in that area in the first place.

This is a terrible thing to have happened to a decent honest and hard working man in our country.

What's the selfie queen got to say about this happening in her constituency?

Silence as usual.

DON'T worry - it's just "low level crime" according to community police constable Galloway.

More muggings of elderly people over Easter too which seemed to go unreported.

Bookies on Allison Street broken into again - the list is endless.

Police helicopter buzzing over the area twice last week.

A Freedom of Information request to Police Scotland regarding the frequency and cost of dispatching a helicopter to Govanhill would make interesting reading.

How's the new CCTV doing? Not very well by the looks of it.
