REGARDING Dawn and Geoffrey Bonelle, who are fighting a bus gate fine, let's face it, Glasgow City Council located this bus gate further into Nelson Mandela Place so that drivers wouldn't have sufficient notice of it until after they had entered the one way street.

Any reasonable person would have located it at the entrance to Nelson Mandela Place.

Our van driver at work received a fine and the photographs clearly show him stopping after he turns into the street but as he stated he couldn't reverse out of the street as it would have been dangerous.

The Labour administration in Glasgow should be held accountable for not making the council fix this problem.

All the best of luck to this couple, I hope the Sheriff feels that natural justice must allow the case to proceed. Everyone is entitled to their day in court.

HOPEFULLY some legal firm will take on take on Dawn and Geoffrey Bonelle's case. The council should not be allowed to price justice out of ordinary peoples reach.

GLASGOW City Council has indeed procedure in place for dealing with these penalty charge notices (PCN).

This includes the provision of an email address on the PCN and then taking great delight in telling you when you phone them up when you haven't had the courtesy of a response to your email that they "don't deal with these matters by email", probably in the hope that you will overrun the 14 day " discount" period.

I was really concerned to read about yet more problems at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus.

What's the point of having these "state-of-the-art" new facilities when it's simply problem after problem?

There needs to be a thorough investigation into what has gone wrong here.

DESPITE the issues involved, I think we have to remember how brilliant our new city hospitals are.

My child has had brilliant care at the new Glasgow Hospital for Children. I didn't know there was supposed to be a roof garden so the fact it was out of bounds because of problems made no difference to my daughter's level of care.

The building is amazing and full of fantastic play spaces where you can take your child for fun, if they are well enough.

I was only impressed by the place.
