How could someone be so cruel?

Regarding the story about three family pets poisoned in their own back garden:

I honestly can't get my head around how a human being can be so cruel to three defenceless dogs. What kick could someone get?

I hope they find the person and they he gets a proper punishment not just a slap on the hand .

Cleaner buses for Glasgow

On a recent visit to London I couldn't help but notice the lack of air pollution when compared to some streets in Glasgow, despite the number of famous red buses on the London roads.

This is due to the fact that 1,500 London buses (out of a total bus fleet of 8,600) are hybrid vehicles which produce around 40% less CO2 than traditional diesel engines.

Is there any chance that Glasgow City Council could encourage such a scheme, instead of spending its time and money on lengthy court battles trying to defend its controversial bus gates?

Once again politicians are so "full of it".

In the Evening Times (April 19) Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf make the proverbial promises. Promises which are worthless as they carry no

penalties, other than "sorry" (if we're lucky).

I suggest, politicians, and councillors, look up the word promise in the dictionary before

glibly quoting it to the electorate.

Otherwise, state, "I hope to" or "I'd like to", but keep their promises for their Honourable Friends.

Rising cost of fuel

Not for the first and most certainly not for the last time we witness the inexorable rise in fuel prices at the pumps.

However before we bang on about the producers and sellers increasing the cost per litre, consider this fact, if we were able to produce petrol/diesel, process and deliver it to the pumps completely free of any costs we would still have to pay, for every GB£ around 70p in tax and VAT that would go straight to the Treasury.

And we are supposed to be grateful that Chancellor Osborne elected to freeze any increase on duty in the last budget.

If you can afford to pay £20 for your fuel at the pump, £14 of that is TAX.
