IT was good to see a frank and open Chilcot Report which pulled no punches.

However, I see Jack Straw and Tony Blair are trotting out the same tired excuse.

Their incursion was blamed on misinformation by others. The MOD have much to answer for by ill-equipping the brave lads, many of whom died due to bad snatch Land Rovers, amongst other things.

I would like to see the ones responsible held fully to account and not shielded by diplomatic smoke screens or cronies.

In effect, they have blood on their hands and must answer for that.

AS one of the 6 millions around the world who marched against the Iraq war, I would like to call on all my elected representatives to make sure Tony Blair be brought to justice.

Not just for the British who died or were maimed, but for all the innocent men women and children who were killed or mutilated.

I met a British nurse who was trying to raise awareness of foetus’s and totally deformed children who were born because of the fallout of depleted uranium.

Will we ever learn?

We had all the hype over the last few weeks remembering the fallen in the first world war.

The sorrow and suffering caused by the carnage not only to the British troops but to all the other men women children and animals catch up in the wars.

The only way we can honour their sacrifice is to put an end to war.

And we will never achieve this till all warmongers are brought to justice.

BLAIR is an evil man. Hoping for repentance or admittance of any wrongdoing on his part is futile.

He waged war for no reason on innocent foreign civilians who posed no threat to the UK, and he waged war on the indigenous Britons with his open borders policy.

WHILE I totally sympathise with Rose Gentle and the loss of her son, the fact remains her son signed up for the armed forces and must have known that there could be a risk of death or injury due to war or conflict.

The basic training in the army is how to kill and shoot a rifle. I don’t like politics or politicians but I feel as though Tony Blair is just being made the scape goat in this whole sorry affair.

Hindsight is a great thing and trying to blame a single person for a war that killed service men and women is pointless and just opening up old wounds.

My relatives fought in wars ranging from WW1 through to the Falklands so I can totally appreciate what the service men and women do for their country. God bless them all.
