SNP shame

I COULDN’T believe that not even one SNP MP clapped for David Cameron.

It was an absolute disgrace and I feel embarrassed to be Scottish.

I watched a political debate between an SNP MP and a Labour MSP on Scotland Tonight a while back. When the Labour MP was talking – The SNP MP didn’t even look at him. It was totally ignorant.

If I was the father of any of the SNP MPs I would be teaching them manners.

I voted for SNP and I think we will be independent one day. But not just now – if we join the EU we wouldn’t be independent!

It’s a shame here in Scotland – you can’t vote Labour so you vote SNP. We have a grudge over the Tories, but now I think this is the only way.

Stop squabbles

IT was extremely regrettable and utterly ill-mannered for the SNP MPs to behave as they did when David Cameron was leaving the House of Commons - they have done themselves absolutely no favours at all by their childish behaviour.

Such antics and fiascos have to stop – all these politicians are the people we are all supposed to look up to, for goodness sake.

All of them – in all parties - need to grow up, take a long hard look at themselves, and put the future of the country before their own personal and petty squabbles.

Independence?

IS it just me or is anybody else fed up with Nicola Sturgeon turning up and spouting the same old same old mantra at every photo opportunity.

We all get it, you want us to get away from depending on one “master” (Westminster) and join up and depend on a whole big group of “masters” (Brussels)

Doesn’t sound like independence to me.

Work together

AS a Brexit supporter, I truly believe our best days are ahead but only if we work together as one United Kingdom.

That’s why I was somewhat dismayed this week to hear Nicola Sturgeon and others in the SNP still going on and on about keeping Scotland in the EU.

We have seen David Cameron and others from the remain side accept the EU referendum result with dignity and grace and it is now time for Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP to do likewise.

I am not saying leaving the EU will be easy or straightforward but the referendum result has to be respected.

That’s why Nicola Sturgeon should be using her time and energy in getting the best deal possible for Scotland outside the EU and stop wasting her time with campaigns to keep Scotland in the EU as this will only cause problems and unrest.
