READING about people too scared to use the Springburn shopping centre (because of criminals), phone the police and what will they do? “Log it in the system”. (Evening Times August 19)

Absolutely fantastic but the kind of response one expects nowadays from our police force - sorry - police service.

These scum should be in court time and time again until a beak gets fed up of seeing them and slams them in the pokey.

I won’t be holding my breath.

This is what happens when the liberals - who have captured the whole of the law and order apparatus - start treating criminals as ‘victims’. The law abiding majority suffer.

The streets are turned over to these vermin. This is how society collapses and ends.

FOLK don’t phone the police because you don’t talk to a police officer any more.

If the community residents are apprehensive about drug abuse and abusers, it is a real concern.

Officers who should be taking direct action. They have got eyes, they know who is at it.

SO drug users disappear from Springburn shopping centre when the police show up in uniform?

I’m no Dixon of Dock Green, but maybe plain clothed officers could stake out the shopping centre and catch a few of these miscreants?

READING about the BFG charity jar that was vandalised (Evening Times August 19), why is there no CCTV?

Maybe if we stopped spending all our time trying to catch some “criminal” who has been channelled into a bus lane so the council can fine them for this horrendous act we could possible use some resources catching vandals.

Or is the bus lane profit margin that high we just have to put up with the vandalism?

THE story about ‘mystery’ passengers to help snare private hire taxis illegally picking up passengers (Evening Times August 19), it’s a measure long overdue.

It’s an epidemic out of control. It’s been going on for so long with police and council turning a blind eye, so much so that Joe Public thinks it’s perfectly okay to flag a private without pre-booking.

If you want to be a real taxi, sit the knowledge test and drive a real taxi.
