Once again the board, management and players of Rangers FC have shown what a great, caring family we have at Ibrox.

The compassion they've displayed for members of the Nith Valley RSC and the family of Ryan Baird is to be commended.

It's great to be part of a huge family who have shown many times how to be there for those who need our help.

So well done to Mark Warburton, staff and players and all the fantastic supporters for showing the caring side of our Club.

Re the letter from your reader Nicola Eastleigh in the Evening Times on Thursday, October 27.

Nicola, I hope you enjoy your cycle through Glasgow City Centre as long it's on the road and not on pavements like many of your cycling peers who seem to prefer pavements and pedestrian precincts.

I do not know where this culture comes from - pavements are for pedestrians.

With regards the pay dispute and potential jobs loss of Glasgow janitors - it's simply disgusting.

These companies don't care.

With regards St Stephen's in Sighthill being the new face of the local regeneration.

More propaganda from the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and the GHA.

All to obscure the fact that the houses for rent are already built - 141 of them - and the rest are for sale by property developers.

The buzz word amongst these three organisations is 'Affordable Housing' instead of 'Social Housing', in an area of high unemployment and low wages, where are the local people who can afford 'Affordable Housing'?

Spin wont hide the fact that an area that was totally Social Housing is now another area largely devoted to property developers.

Involving children in their pathetic attempt to hide the truth is disgraceful.

The man who discovered that the new £5 notes can be "rubbed out".

Very interesting. But did he have nothing better to do at his work that day?

I wish I had the time to sit experimenting with rubbing out money.

And the money for the experiment.
