Support Gina

I WAS deeply saddened at the news about Gina Miller being threatened with serious injury and death threats (Evening Times November 5).

She has the guts to stand up against those in power to leave the EU .

If we leave, our way of life will completely change for the worse - our health care, travel to European countries, defence, export and imports rights will all be affected, not to forget higher taxes .

I fully support Gina Miller and would offer my services in security .

It would be no surprise if any of the threats stemmed from those in favour of Brexit.

It wouldn’t be the first time those in power have been suspected of wrong doing.

Hotel needed

READING about the housing minister saying he will be keeping a “close eye” on a Glasgow ‘hotel’ which houses men with addiction problems (Evening Times December 9), places like this exist because councils, John Mason’s SNP Government and the UK Government have washed their hands of the problem.

Bellgrove is far from perfect, but where would they go otherwise?

These men cannot live alone in a flat.

Mental health issues, drug abuse and drink are awful things.

Well done

READING about Rangers fans raising £52,000 for charity with a sleepout at Ibrox (Evening Times December 9), “Our supporters should feel incredibly proud of the impact that this will make.”

On behalf of my Celtic, I’d like to congratulate my Gers pals on that.

All banter aside, really tremendous effort lads.

Us Bhoys salute you. That’s a really brilliant thing you did.

Christmas boost

READING about the £287 million contract for two more Royal Navy ships to be built on the Clyde (Evening Times December 9), lots of big smiles down sunny Govan today.

This is a great Christmas boost for the workforce.

Well done to all the lads and lassies who produce such fine ships.
