Customers fault

DON'T blame Marks and Spencer for their toilets being closed (Evening Times January 6), blame the general public who shop there.

I have been a regular customer at M&S for a few years and the state the toilets are left in is absolutely disgusting.

How would Mr Malik like to fork out hundreds of pounds every four weeks for flooding caused by toilets being blocked, not to mention what gets left on the floor.

M&S are not alone in closing their toilets. Premises a few doors along have closed their toilets for the same reason.

Local housing

I MUST agree with Brian Rodger (Evening Times letters January 12) - in the eyes of the councillors the West End needs more student accommodation than local housing.

Sadly, Brian, today's news is tomorrow's history and when the council elections come round local people will believe what councillors want to tell them and this year's crisis will be forgotten.

Great news

READING about MacSorley’s Music Bar getting refurbished (Evening Times January 13), it's a great pub, I'm glad to see it getting refurbished.

Many years ago we used to call in for a game of darts and a pie and peas after work before getting the bus home from Midland Street.

Great news!

Not impressed

MACSORLEY'S is a place I only visited once and to be honest I wasn't that impressed.

I certainly wouldn't describe it as a landmark or best known pub there are plenty of other pubs that are more interesting and popular.

Leave Kwik Fit

READING about the 500 job losses at Kwik Fit in Uddingston (Evening Times January 13), I hope everyone with policies with this company take their business elsewhere.

When they move their work, take your products with you.

One thing about Donald Trump, he has told all the car makers to make them where ever you want, but he will tax them extra to come in to America.

Hey presto, they all announce new factories/ extensions.
