Too expensive

READING about the proposed park over the M8 (Evening Times February 8), I would love to see this happening but I just don’t think it’s the right use of public money.

I’m no engineer but sounds a bit expensive.

Maybe there’s a rich oil baron that would be willing to pay for it!

Disrespecting vote

IT was no surprise that the Scottish Parliament voted by a majority to oppose the UK government starting the Brexit process.

We have to listen to the SNP in the Westminster Parliament constantly criticise every aspect of Brexit. But by doing this they not only show disrespect to the people who voted to leave the EU, but they are making trouble in parliament for the UK government as they try to move ahead with Brexit.

Quite frankly I find the behaviour of the SNP in Westminster to be both distasteful and embarrassing as they try hard to frustrate the UK government who are only carrying out the will of the people in taking the UK out of the EU.

Lives in danger

READING about the parking nightmare at St Paul’s primary (Evening Times February 9), exactly the same thing happens outside Notre Dame primary in Partick when kids are being dropped off at 9 and then picked up at 3.

It’s in every newsletter and the school also sends texts but no one listens.

They are putting kids lives in danger, it’s absolutely shocking.

Police's problem

RE the parking problems at school, it’s an offence to drive a vehicle in a careless or dangerous manner.

It’s also an offence to park a vehicle in a dangerous manner.

It’s an offence to cause (by a vehicle) an unnecessary obstruction.

These are all issues which land clearly in the remit of Police Scotland, no one else.

This is the organisation that all complaints should be directed.

If enough parents emailed or wrote to Mr Phil Gormley, Chief Constable, raising their fears and concerns, I’m pretty sure the response would be swift.

Contact the man at the top and word won’t be long being put in the ear of the officer in charge at Partick police office.

This is a serious issue and needs to be sorted before an innocent child is injured.
