I AM totally against the proposal for a third Gaelic School in Glasgow. (Evening Times April 19)

The city council should be investing in an education system that is inclusive for every child not one that builds divisions and panders to an elite few whose parents themselves don't speak Gaelic.

Because these children do not live in the catchment areas of these schools, the council hires private coaches to take them home which is a waste of public money, especially in a time when their are huge cutbacks in the public sector.

If it is felt that Gaelic should be taught as a second language then do so within existing schools then the choice is open to all.

READING about the delays on the motorway due to the ongoing work (Evening Times April 20), the job has been a shambles from start to finish.

There are badly laid out cones to direct you, junctions closed off with no prior warning. You drive down through the works for the last couple of years and see only small groups of men working in different areas.

The job has been under manned and badly planned from the start. Why was the job not up manned to reduce the time?

If you think I am exaggerating bring up the drone footage off the M8 and count the number of men you see working. The schedule must have been re issued a dozen times by now.

What is the overspend and what is the final delay?

CONSIDERING how much work they have had to do on the motorway, the delays have not been too bad.

The motorway, generally, moves well and it has been well managed from the start in my opinion.

AFTER decades of neglect Scotland is now on the move and has never had so many major infrastructure projects.

The Scottish Parliament is delivering for the people of Scotland.

The new Forth road bridge, the completion of the M74 (after decades left unfinished), the upgrading of the M8, the dualling of the A9, the biggest ever refurbishment and rebuilding programme of Scottish schools and new hospitals.

The union has failed Scotland, the SNP are stronger for Scotland.
