IN relation to the new charge for picking up and dropping off at Glasgow airport (Evening Times online April 25), it’s been called a cash cow and there is no other word for it.

No matter how the airport owners describe it this is a total rip off.

It’s greed personified and I’m disgusted the Scottish Govt didn’t get involved in this.

On Easter Monday at 8.30 pm I was there picking up folk and it was absolute bedlam.

Of the three lanes going past the present drop off point two were completely blocked by a parked vehicle.

Getting into car park two was worse. There are three barriers from where you get a ticket and then the access filters into one lane.

There was a mega tailback here and yes a lady decided to stop her Audi A3 and cause further mayhem.

If they weren’t so money grabbing and there were no barriers the traffic, with the help of a warden, would run fine.

I don’t mind paying my way but I hate getting ripped off and unfortunately there is very little can be done.

Millions of cars

I’M sure I read somewhere that last year there was about two million cars used the drop off pick up area at the airport so you can see why they have decided to create this £2 charge.

Disabled ignored

WHAT about the disabled who can’t walk far? How are we supposed to access the airport?

I live remotely and have to be flown up to Glasgow for hospital appointments.

How are we supposed to cope?

Boycott Nestle

ANOTHER company abandons ship to line their pockets with cheap labour (Evening Times April 26).

We are losing 300 jobs here in Scotland because Nestle is moving lock stock and barrel to Poland, and blaming Brexit.

Surely no one is desperate to eat Blue Riband biscuits - there are hundreds of other brands to choose from.

We should just boycott them and let them watch their sales plummet.

There are hundreds of other establishments doing the right thing.

Before we buy anything, we should ask ourselves do the companies we patronise with our custom pay their fair share into this countries coffers or not.

If not, go elsewhere.
