READING about the queues building up with the new airport drop-off (Evening Times online May 2) to me this comes down to people not being aware of the new road layout. It’s nothing to do with having to pay £2.

Even if the new area was free you’d still get a build up of traffic as people don’t look ahead to see where they’re going and then leave it to the last minute to move lane.

The old area was being abused constantly by people picking up and dropping off and was becoming a hazard in itself. I’m more than happy to drop people off or pick them up at the free area.

Corporate greed

EVERYBODY knows what happened at the airport - corporate greed before customer experience.

Captive audience with no real alternative transport to the airport.

Rip ‘em off, it’s what we do best in Britain.

Bright side

RE: airport queues. Look on the bright side.

Just think how much this will bring to the local economy when the council start levelling fines for those temporarily parked on the M8 slip.

Adds to problem

THE £2 charge was supposed to stop a build up off traffic not add to it.

This proves the charge is greed orientated and doesn’t actually stop congestion but instead adds to it.

Ditch petty rows

WHAT’S with people these days that they can’t go out, and enjoy their night without an argument, assault, fight, or violence of some kind being reported.

Time to keep fists and feet to yourselves guys (and girls.)

Lets ditch the petty rows that get physical.

Best chippie

READING about the Merchant Chippie being named one of the best in the UK, (Evening Times May 2) it’s a good wee chip shop and the staff are lovely too.

Well done to them!
