IN relation to the new airport drop-off charges (Evening Times May 2), this is just another scam to rip-off the travelling public.

Surely we are charged enough already. We are being held to ransom.

We just have to pay those charges. Are we going to put up with this?

Well, why not boycott the airport facilities and shops?

They are already overpriced shops, bars and restaurants and we can decide we do not want to use them.

See who shouts the loudest then.

This is Glasgow’s airport! We need to stand up for ourselves.

Amusing Duke

LIFE won’t be the same without the Duke of Edinburgh’s sense of humor and forthright manner.

He raised many a wry smile.

While the Queen can be portrayed as staid, he most certainly wasn’t.

No information

THE electronic information panels in bus stops have not been working for almost 18 months now despite promises that they were being reinstated.

As the new ‘super’ bus stops now unveiled in Union Street do not have any passenger information outlets can we assume that the SPT have given up the ghost on utilising modern technology?

System shambles

READING about the bodyguard who’s now homeless in Glasgow (Evening Times May 3), I know a young mum with a six month old baby, who is on maternity leave from a full time job who is in same position.

She has no priority.

It’s a citywide problem for everyone and an absolute shambles of a system.

Same old story

THIS is a disgusting position for this homeless man to be in.

It’s the same old story we all see and hear far too often and it makes you ashamed to be a Scot.

I went through the exact same in 2007 and obviously nothing has got better, in fact it’s worse.

It’s a vicious cycle once you’re in that position and nobody ‘official’ will give you the time of day.

It makes you sick and embarrassed.
