With regards to your story about the graffiti on Glasgow Central Mosque: we live in a multicultural society and this is shocking that the Muslim community is getting tarred with the same brush because some extremist has taken things too far with religion.
Take a closer look at your community and I can guarantee you we all appreciate what the Muslim community do for us.
They work hard to make a good life for their families, as do we.
Religion and race should not come into the context after a horrible attack like that which happened in Manchester last night.

I'd like to refer wee Franny Millar and other cyclists (Letters May 22) to the Highway Code Rule 64: Law HA1835 sect72 and R(S)A sect.129 that clearly state cycling on pavements is illegal.
As a pedestrian who has been knocked over and injured by a cyclist riding on the pavement I strongly object to this practice.

I have real sympathy for any business that has to close.
It is awful for the business owner and staff.
However, I just can't understand your story about the two shops on Victoria Road that have had to close due to the ongoing roadworks in the area.
Traffic can still move fairly freely and I don't see how it can have had such a drastic impact.

Scottish Water should be answering questions about why the works on Victoria Road are taking so long.
They have been extended at least twice now.
It is a real hassle for people living in the area who are fed up.
