I WAS shocked at the comment made by N Thomson regarding Jeremy Corbyn politicising London terrorist act for political gain. (Evening Times letters June 6)

Mr Corbyn did no such thing. He was very respectable and contrite at his disgust of this horrendous act of terrorism.

As for his refusal to condemning the IRA you have got that completely wrong!

The Tories during Thatcher’s reign met and negotiated with both sets of organisations in Northern Ireland.

Theresa May must take responsibility for the atrocity in London because she learned nothing from the awful Manchester terror attack.

Not enough cash

PLEASE think before you vote.

Jeremy Corbyn has opened his Santa Claus “goodie bag”, promising everything to every-one. But Santa Claus doesn’t exist, nor does the money to pay for all his promises.

Let’s not return to the days of Labour’s “spend and borrow” policies that emptied the coffers and led to the enormous deficit we’re still struggling with today.

Solidarity show

READING about the Glasgow’s Muslim community coming together to urge people to show solidarity in the face of terrorism (Evening Times June 6), terrorism will never be defeated without the help of the Muslim communities.

It’s right and good that the Muslim communities are being positive, victims are world wide and any death is one too much.

Default position

IN reference to Susan Aitken’s column (Evening Times June 6), I’m delighted to see that plans are already in place to engage more actively with Glaswegians.

Consulting and involving Glaswegians in those decisions should be the default position.

May to blame

SO Theresa May is “angry” at the police for downgrading the status of Khuram Butt.

Who was it that stripped the police of resources, so they had to prioritise who they watch?

That’s right, Theresa May. So who is guilty of politicising the attacks? She used the Tory party policy of austerity to justify her actions, therefore she politicised policing, and put the security of the public at risk.
