THE city council allows George Square to be used by boys racers to as a formula 1 Grand Prix circuit.
Is the council that devoid of ideas they can’t do a simple thing of pedestrianisation of the area?
It would go a long way to stopping another bin lorry disaster.

Great idea
REGARDING the proposed ‘shooting gallery’ in Glasgow (Evening Times June 22), I think it’s a great idea.
It’s safe place for mostly good people to go.
It’s horrendous to be an addict and then to be found dead on a street by your family.

Crazy proposal
I BELIEVE that would be better opening a rehab centre and deal with the problem rather than something to encouraging people to go somewhere safe to inject? Is it safe?
The fact works in other countries doesn’t mean it will work in here.
Look at the bigger picture. People need help not to be encouraged to continue because Glasgow Council and MPs MSP sit and do nothing.
Seriously this is crazy.
How many more money is going to be wasted by the Government and Glasgow City Council to help people take drugs or methadone ?
Take a walk along Argyle Street, Sauchiehall Street see all the homeless.
Surely the money would be better spend on this and cleaning up the city.

Unworkable
THE idea that addicts are going to buy their drugs at various points across the city and then make the journey to this particular spot rather than just taking their hit in the nearest unsecured close as they do at the moment is ridiculous.
This idea is seriously flawed and impossible to implement.
What is to stop the police standing at the edge of it and searching addicts as they enter?

Home curfew call
READING about staff at Hamilton Central appealing to be moved to quieter platforms due to teenage gangs (Evening Times June 20), it’s parental responsibility not society or state responsibility that’s the issue here.
A home curfew with large fines to the parents if they break them might just help.
