SUICIDE, depression, bi-polar disorder, etc, are not discussed or understood widely enough.

The "See me" campaign by Scottish Association for Mental Health, and this new wonderful initiative by actress Mhairi Calvey in yesterday's Evening Times will hopefully inspire greater debate in Scotland.

Help our own

RegardING the parents pleading for help over their brain tumour youngster, (Evening Times, Tuesday) - we can give away £11 billion a year in foreign aid but there is no cash to help our own. This is not something you can blame on the Tories. Every party is equally to blame.

Just the job

IN the wake of the Phones 4U closure, Better Together say the UK is the safe option. Best for jobs. So how come all these companies are going bust?

Time for change.

Time for independence.

Face facts

I urge Scottish people to make the right decision on their vote and vote No. NHS is protected at present and will continue to be under the Scottish Government budget. I don't believe the Yes camp can pay for free child care or protect emergency service jobs, public sector jobs, and deliver housing benefits, tax credits, and every other benefit. One in two houses holds in UK don't work and claim a benefit so who will pay for this?

No prejudice, just facts - your call.

Good show

Glasgow is going to take centre stage again in the entertainment stakes. It is a great boost hosting the MTV Europe awards and let's hope the stars head to the Hydro now the nominations are out. The city has already proved what a good show it can put on from the Commonwealth Games to the MOBO awards. November will be another time for Glasgow to show what it is made of.
