I trained as a registered nurse in the early 1970s. The standards mentioned would never have been tolerated. I do not believe that the poor hygiene is due to staff shortages. The problem is due to bad management at all times. Bring back the dragon matrons.

Jobseekers will soon have to seek work for 35 hours each week under new Government rules on benefit entitlement.
Many jobseekers don't own a computer, and, as job applications are increasing made online, will need to rely on a handful of computers at each local Jobcentre.
But hold on. Jobcentres have no public toilet facilities, so just think what it's going to be like for throngs of people to actively seek work for 35 hours each week in buildings with no toilet facilities. And what about the numerous unemployed people who don't know how to use a computer, or the fact that hundreds of people are chasing each job vacancy. A bladder-bursting treadmill is not the solution.

re: 2014 Games security could cause traffic chaos, Glasgow needs a light rail system. Possibly some conversions on road outside city centre.

Another monstrous phone mast and control box has appeared in Mosspark Boulevard which are being graffitied and flyposted. One wonders what these mobile phone companies, which are making massive profits, are giving back to local communities.
Why is the council not insisting that the companies clean off graffiti and flyposting and also invest in local communities who have to put up with these ugly installations?
