CYCLISTS seem to want it both ways.

They are pushing for a change in the law that would assume drivers are to blame if an accident happens involving a cyclists or a walker.

Well what about cyclists and walkers. I am a pedestrian and was crossing the road at a green man when I was nearly knocked to the ground myself by a cyclist. He had clearly gone through a red light and then showed no regard for my safety when he ploughed on through a pedestrian crossing.

I was shocked beyond belief. I am sorry but assumed blame for drivers, is way off the mark, perhaps we should be looking at cyclists as well. You cannot single out one road user from the other, they all have to be responsible.

LABOUR MP, Tom Harris (Glasgow South) states he doesn't want British Transport Police duties in Scotland to be devolved and described it as "SNP arrogance" and "this move is premature. No-one has been consulted." He is deliberately misleading voters, because he knows Labour's representatives Iain Gray and Gregg McClymont signed up to this during The Smith Commission. Paragraph 67 of their report states: "The functions of the British Transport Police in Scotland will be a devolved matter." Perhaps Mr Harris doesn't want his constituents to know this.

ONCE again the council along with the Scottish Government, disregard the wishes of the people of Glasgow regarding the concert hall steps.

This being the case, then those who signed the petition to retain the steps should vote with the feet, like myself, and not shop at Buchanan Galleries or patronise the concert hall.

REGARDS sports facility costs 'too high' in poorer parts of Glasgow, the healthy option seems seldom to be the cheapest or cost effective. Look at how it is cheaper to buy a cheap can of lager as opposed to the price of a similar sized bottle of water.

How can neighbouring authorities to Glasgow give 'Free' access to under 16's? Questions must be asked, maybe ask one of those canvassing at your door for votes this question.
